Observations of heteroclinic bifurcations in resistive magnetohydrodynamic simulations of the plasma response to resonant magnetic perturbations

چکیده

A class of topological magnetic island bifurcations that has not previously been observed in toroidal plasmas is described. Increasing an externally applied three-dimensional field resistive magnetohydrodynamic simulations results the asymmetric elongation resonant flux surfaces followed by a sequence heteroclinic bifurcations. These produce new sets hyperbolic-elliptic fixed points as predicted Poincar\'e-Birkoff point theorem. Field line calculations verify do connect to those prebifurcated islands required for on torus with winding numbers composed common integer factors.
